Body is 4 1/2 inches long and made of 300 series stainless steel, not aluminum, so it will not become bent or distorted over time. Safety Disc is made of 6061 aluminum and is 7 ” diameter, which will work on 6″ or smaller auger. Three flat milled sides to fit in either a 3/8 or 1/2 inch drill chuck. No need to bring the gas auger inside the shanty and smoke yourself out anymore. Let the cordless drill do the work not your arms. Save your back by not hauling around that heavy gas auger. The safety disc will not only save your auger from going through the ice if it the drill chuck should loosen, but there is no threat of the safety device harming the operator like a bolt or shaft safety system.
